Aethereality was a body of work produced in 2019 exploring a purely digital, hyper-mediated, glitch aesthetic as a means to produce fractal-esque imagery. Comprised of various digital photographs of trees, water, and landscapes layered and blended over each other repeatedly, each image comes to mimic underlying archetypal patters of nature. The work was consciously inspired by a mathematical study of Jackson Pollock’s paintings, claiming that the forms of the paintings mimic patterns found in nature; various spiritual patterns, mandalas, rose windows, etc, also provided reference points.
